Online Literature Festival Chat

Hi Year 8 (again),
here is the Online Literature Festival Chat I participated in. I was talking with Lucy Grealy, the autobiographer of "Autobiography of a face". Here I learnt some interesting tips on writing and presenting an autobiography. Please read the questions and answers, as she has provided great feedback on preparing to write an autobiography.

I also applied what I learnt from the Online literature chat into my autobiography speech, which will soon be published on my Blog.

Please feel free to leave comments, ask questions and provide feedback :-)

  1. Hi Amelia,

Wow, it looks like you had a great chat with “Lucy Grealy”. I have noted some of her answers for my autobiography speech- is that ok?.
The questions are great... I just have one suggestion. Maybe next time you could ask how to turn the autobiography into a 3-4 speech. Other than that, I love the questions; they were great for our current assessment :-)

I have also published my Online Literature Festival chat with another professional autobiographer, please feel free to have a look and take note of anything you think might help with your speech.

    Talk soon
    Sarah.

  2. Hi Amelia (again),

Great chat with “Lucy”. Your questions allowed her to provide some great feedback. I, like Sarah, have also noted some of the questions and answers...Is that cool? I hope you don’t mind.

Maybe next time you could ask the autobiographer what inspires them to start writing their autobiography. ... And how they chose to describe specific events in their life; rather than give every little detail? (This is something I am finding difficult).

Awesome chat and loved the questions and answers!

Hope you guys check out my Online Literature Festival Chat (I have just published it onto my page).

(Again, great feedback Sarah, hope you also comment and provide feedback on my chat)

    Will. C.
